2. Hosting provider
The site is hosted by Google through Firebase App Hosting: Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, D04 E5W5, Ireland.
The game database and the server functions are hosted in the European Union, in the europe-west1 region (Saint-Ghislain, Belgium).
Gooblies is an installable web application (PWA). It is not distributed through the Apple or Google app stores.
3. Intellectual property
All of the content of the service — text, artwork, characters, the “Gooblies” creatures, the “Gooblies” trade mark, logos and code — is protected by copyright and trade mark law. Any reproduction, communication to the public or reuse, in whole or in part, without the publisher's prior written consent, is prohibited.
The map backgrounds displayed in the garden screen come from Mapbox and OpenStreetMap, and remain the property of their respective authors. They are used in accordance with their licences.
4. Personal data and cookies
The processing of your personal data is described in our privacy policy. The use of cookies and of local storage is set out in our cookie policy.
Under the GDPR, you have rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, objection and portability, which you may exercise by writing to info@jackandmani.com. You may also lodge a complaint with the Autorité de protection des données (the Belgian data protection authority), via www.autoriteprotectiondonnees.be.
5. Liability
The publisher endeavours to keep the information on the service accurate and up to date, but cannot guarantee that it will be free of errors or interruptions.
Gooblies is a game that is played outdoors. The child moves physically through an outdoor space that the responsible adult has marked out themselves on a map. That adult alone is the judge of how safe that space is and of how much supervision is required. The game uses the device's GPS, whose accuracy varies with the conditions; it is in no way a substitute for supervision by an adult. The safety guidance is presented to the adult at the moment they mark out that space.
